We have decided to adopt Little Boy B. I wish I could share his picture here, it's really cute.
Fortunately, much of our paperwork from Amelia is re-useable. There's still plenty of "really urgent" stuff to do. Like...figuring out if we need to re-name the blog (The Howletts 6???)...determining what little boys like to play with...changing a room from pink to...a color that is not pink.
Since Little Boy B recently became a waiting child, our agency thinks the process will be pretty quick. As in, it's reasonable to expect to travel in December or January.
We are trusting God to provide the resources we need. We can only imagine how much pain and loss this little guy has already experienced. May God provide healing and may we provide much love and blessing to our new son.
We are Dave (aka Dad), Lory (aka Mom), Allison, Abby (aka "The Bigs"), three year-old Amelia and six year-old Bereket (aka "The Littles"). We are figuring out how to be a family of SIX. May God always be glorified! TEAM TASFA is a group of twenty-eight of us who just returned from remote southern Ethiopia, where we were privileged to serve the orphans and widows there. It was the best two weeks of my life!

Praise the Lord! I love it that you are trusting HIM all the way, what a blessed little boy to be so loved by God. HE chose your family for this little fella, how FUN!!! Praise God for this miracle!
Yay!!! Exciting! You're in for a new experience with your little boy! Great age=just young enough for the big girls to "baby" and teach and yet old enough for Amelia to idolize. Perfect.
I will be praying for your family as you start the paper chase again. Hope he will be home for Christmas. Will your whole family travel again?
Lory,
Thanks for splashing with me today. I guess I should be in bed, but just wanted to thank you.
We will be moving in the morning to AZ, USA. And yes, we still will be adopting from Ethiopia. So delighted to meet someone else along the same path. We will be starting a new ministry, specifically myself and our boys to equip children to reach the nations.
Blessings from the rain,
Sarah Dawn
SO EXCITING! Congrats to all of you! Boys are so much fun! We will be praying that he comes home SOON!
Congratulations on your big news Lory! I am so happy for you guys. I will be praying finances come through quickly and that everything goes very smoothly and your little boy blue is home by Christmas time. So fun!
I'm so giddy over your new family addition. I cannot wait to "go thru it" with you guys. I just love your family. Please let me know if there is anything we can do.
I'm having lunch with Aneata Monday at 12pm by the office. Are you able to join us? I'm sure you are working tho.
