I read this and it made me so sad!
There are so many children still waiting.

The Waiting Child
by Debbie Bodie

I saw you meet your child today
You kissed your baby joyfully
And as you walked away with her
I played pretend you'd chosen me.

I'm happy for the baby, yet
Inside I"m aching miserably
I want to plead as you go by,
"Does no-one want a child of three?"

I saw you meet your child today
In love with her before you met
And as I watched you take her out
I knew it wasn't my turn yet.

I recognize you from last year!
I knew I'd seen your face before!
But you came for a second babe.
Does no-one want a child of four?

I saw you meet your child today
But this time there was something new
A nurse came in and took MY hand
And then she gave my hand to you.

Can this be true? I'm almost six!
And there are infants here you see?
But then you kissed me and I knew
The child you chose this time was me.

Does This Make You Wanna Come?

A note we just received from Desalegn and FOVC. Let's change the world!

DEAR DAVID AND LORY,

WE ARE DELIGHTED TO HEAR FROM YOU THAT YOU ARE GOING TO COME BACK TO ETHIOPIA TO SEE US AGAIN IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

WE ARE GOING TO ARRANGE SOME PROGRAMS, CARNIVALS, STREET RUNNING, ETC.FOR THE CEREMONY THEN. I AM VERY MUCH SURE YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY AND BLESSED WITH THAT ALL.

IN ADDITION TO THAT WE WILL HAVE A BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING WITH YOU AND PRESENT ALL REPORTS ABOUT FOVC.

MAY GOD KEEP ALL OF US SAFE!

YOURS IN CHRIST,
DESALEGN DAKA

Happy Easter, He is RISEN!

Today, we give all thanks for the reason for our hope:
 The Risen Jesus Christ!

Silly Easter Sissies, er, Easter Bunny!

Cool! Sunglasses! Cool sunglasses!

It's a very Bob Easter for Amelia. (Shhhh, don't tell Amelia that Tillie the Schnauzer absconded with Bob and ate him under the kitchen table!)

More Bob!

Shades.

Mom serves up a healthy breakfast of Easter candy. (Well, I did add deviled eggs later for a bit of protein.)

That Easter Daddy, er, Easter Bunny--Bereket got a bike!

Bereket has been dreaming of a bicycle since we met him in Ethiopia! I told Dave he will always remember learning to ride his bike on Easter Sunday with his Daddy.
